Our hot streak continued last night as we won our only bet, the Under 5 in Kings/Sharks. We’re now 6-1 in the Stanley Cup playoffs, 14-3-3 in our last 20 and on a 9-0 run with our Best Bets!
San Jose scored last night in the opening minute and LA tied it by the middle point of the first period. We’d pretty much given up hopes of cashing an Under 5 by the time we headed to bed at the first intermission, but the teams didn’t score again until LA won the game in overtime.
We tweeted out last night how we regretted passing on the Stars after they took an early 2-0 lead in Minnesota. But the Wild stormed back for a 5-3 win to make that series interesting again. Washington took a 3-0 chokehold on the Flyers in the other game last night, routing Philly 6-1.
Tonight, we’ve got the Ducks desperate to avoid going down 0-3 to Nashville; Detroit needing a win to square up their series 2-2 going back to Tampa; Chicago looking to tie things up with St. Louis; and the Rangers and Penguins playing Game 3 of their series, with the winner taking a 2-1 lead.
There was a ton of value on St. Louis earlier today at Sports Interaction, which listed the Blues at +155. They’re down to +145 as we’re writing this, which is still tempting, but we think the Blackhawks find a way tonight. We can’t lay the heavy price with Chicago, though.
Honestly, not sure what to think about Game 4 of Tampa/Detroit, and we’re spectators for Game 3 of Rangers/Penguins as well.
Going with 1 pick a day has been working pretty well of late, and we’ll do that with 1 bet in the Ducks/Predators series.
Odds below are at the time we made the pick. Be sure to check out our live odds page for updated odds on today’s games.
If you’ve followed our tips at all, you won’t be surprised at this pick. We’ve been on the Over 5 in each of the first two games, pushing them both. Nashville STILL hasn’t played a game with less than 5 goals in nearly 2 months.
Anaheim’s obviously going to bring it tonight, but we don’t expect it to be easy. This should be another very competitive game, and we expect at least 2 goals from each side once again. At this low total and at almost even odds, we’ll try the Over 5 for a third time.
