We lost our only bet yesterday. We had Ducks/Predators to go Over 5, but Anaheim blanked Nashville 3-0.
The Ducks’ move to Andersen in net paid immediate dividends, and Anaheim played much better defensively in front of him. We expected a better effort from the Predators, who appeared pretty satisfied with being up 2-0 in the series and didn’t match the intensity of the Ducks.
That loss snapped a 9-game winning streak for our Best Bets, but we’ll try to get another streak started tonight.
We have a very strong lean to the Stars tonight, but we’re laying off for the same reason as we did in Game 3. Minnesota is historically a very tough home team in the playoffs, and the Wild has been so streaky this season that we’re a little concerned they might play another good game after snapping out of their funk Monday night.
In the other games, we’re cheering for the Sharks (since we’ve got a personal +150 series bet on them) and aren’t sure whether the Flyers are too demoralized from Game 3 to show up tonight, or if the Caps will mail it in knowing they would almost certainly clinch the series in Game 5.
One bet for tonight’s action for us. Good luck with whatever you play!

We were on the Islanders in the first 3 games of this series, but we’re going to shift allegiances and bet the Panthers tonight instead. The 2-day break in the series likely benefits Florida more, since they rely a bit more on older players like Luongo and Jagr, and it also gives the Panthers time to make some adjustments.
Florida led Game 3 2-0 before its third goal was disallowed due to video replay (offside) and the Islanders rallied. We look for a more desperate Panthers team to get off to another good early start, but this time hold on to the lead and even the series at 2-2 heading home.
