NHL Betting Tips For Wednesday, March 8

Jon and DerekOur picks and leans went 6-3 overall last night, though we dropped our Best Bet on the Rangers/Panthers Under 5.5.

It was nearly a 7-2 evening but the Avalanche scored an empty netter in the final minute to turn our Colorado Team Total Under 2.5 lean into a loser.

That’s the third empty netter in 2 days that has gone against us, and we’re noticing there’s been more empty net goals lately across the league. Last night, the Panthers even pulled their goalie down 3 with 5 minutes to go.

We may see more and more of that in the upcoming weeks as teams get more and more desperate for points. Just something to keep in mind if you’re betting a lot of totals (like we like to do), especially Unders.

Typical quiet Wednesday night in the NHL with just 3 games on the schedule. At least they’re decent matchups with an Original 6 clash in Boston, the Senators visiting Dallas and the Jets hosting Pittsburgh.

Below are stats, trends and our betting leans for all 3 games. Good luck!

Odds below are at the time we made the pick. Be sure to check out our live odds page for updated odds on today’s games.
