NHL Betting Tips For Thursday, January 11

Jon and DerekAfter only two games on the ice last night, the National Hockey League features just three tonight as half of the league is on its bye week.

Not to worry, the schedule will ramp back up again this weekend as those 15 teams return to action, 14 of them on Saturday.

You’ll probably remember that teams coming off their bye week struggled pretty badly in their first games back, but you might not fully appreciate how bad they really were.

So before you bet on any of Saturday’s games or even tomorrow’s contest between Arizona and Edmonton, be sure to check out the article we just posted about 2017 NHL bye week stats. The article also includes a schedule of when each NHL team will come off their bye week this season and who their opponent will be.

The NHL has reduced the amount of times that teams off a bye will have to play their first game back against clubs that haven’t been off for 5 days, but there are still quite a few games in which that is the case. The schedule will let you see when rested teams are up against teams who are in regular routine.

We passed on yesterday’s 2 games after going 1-2 with a push on Tuesday, but we’ve got 1 bet tonight and may add another later dependent on line movement. Good luck on whatever you play.

Odds below are at the time we made the pick. Be sure to check out our live odds page for updated odds on today’s games.
