We went 0-1 last night, losing on the Jets/Red Wings Under 5.5. The game was 2-1 going into the third period but the teams exploded for 5 goals in the final frame (4 by the Jets) to soar over the total.
Today, we’re trying something new and would love to hear what you think about the new direction.
We’re going to breakdown every game on the board today with at least a lean in each. We’ll still post our Best Bet of the day (our favourite bet), but we’re considering getting away a bit from posting just 2-4 picks with writeups and taking a wider approach at things in order to add more value to hockey bettors.
When we look at the games each day, we type out notes on everything – home/away records, recent scoring trends, situational spots, injuries, fatigue, goalies, etc. Then we come up with a lean on every game and finalize our picks by narrowing down our strongest leans of the day.
We usually just delete those notes, but since our leans typically do well, we figured why not share them? We don’t know of any site out there that gives all that type of info on every game on one page in a condensed format.
Besides, we didn’t build this site with the goal of having people blindly tail our bets – we’re more interested in adding as much value as we can and helping people make smarter plays.
It’d be awesome if you could chime in with any angles you’re seeing on the games tonight which we didn’t mention, or which way you lean and why. That way, we can all help each other out. There’s a discussion area below where you can get involved.
We have plans to expand on the amount of information we provide daily if the feedback is positive. So please, let us know what you think!
Good luck!

Boston returns home from a 4-game trip with 3 straight wins and some confidence after the return of Tuuka Rask. They’ve allowed just 4 goals in those 3 games, posting wins in Detroit, Tampa Bay and Florida.
New York’s been playing well also, scoring 16 goals in its last 3 games and 5+ goals in 4 of its last 5. However, the Rangers are giving Hendrik Lundqvist the night off to rest for their game tomorrow in Winnipeg.
The Bruins lost 5-2 in New York a week and a half ago, blowing a 2-0 second-period lead. But that was without Rask, and we feel Boston gets its revenge here. Look for the Bruins to post their 8th straight home win over the Rangers tonight.
