NHL Betting Tips For Monday, November 21

Jon and DerekWe took yesterday off after going 4-4 with 3 pushes Saturday night but hitting our favourite bet on the Blues to beat the Predators.

A day off can be a very good thing to recharge the batteries, though we were kicking ourselves in hindsight for not betting the Panthers or the Under yesterday against the Rangers. New York was playing its first home game after a long road trip and also had a big game with the Penguins the following day, so it set up well for a pretty flat performance by the Rangers. New York did outshoot the Panthers 35-30 but lost 3-2 in a shootout.

That was one of four 3-2 finals in the NHL yesterday, with the other game finishing 3-1. Four of the five games were won by road underdogs, so maybe it was a pretty good day to sit out after all.

Whether it’s the day off or just some good matchups, we feel really good about the board today. There are a couple of situational angles that we like enough to have two Best Bets today, and we also feel pretty strongly about the leans – although we really wanted to bet the Devils Team Total Under 2.5 instead of the Under 5 in San Jose. Pinnacle had posted the Devils Under 1.5 at +148 odds, which we seriously considered but there’s not much room for error when betting under 1.5 for a team total.

Hopefully saying we love the board isn’t the kiss of death. We’ll still need a bit of luck on our side, considering how every game these days is so tight.

Good luck tonight!
