We went 3-0 last night, absolutely nailing our picks on the Blackhawks and Lightning. Both teams jumped out to 3-0 leads, with the Blackhawks holding on for a 3-2 win over Nashville and Tampa blanking the Avalanche 4-0.
In our other win, we had a little luck on our side as the Coyotes overcame a 3-1 third-period deficit to beat the Oilers 4-3 in OT. Max Domi had a hat trick for Arizona and Ekman-Larsson potted the winner with 9 seconds left in overtime, avoiding the shootout.
We’re pretty hot with our picks right now, but if you’re riding this hot streak with us, make sure you don’t get carried away and bet way bigger than usual. Streaks happen in sports betting, both good and bad, and you never know how long they’re going to last, so it would suck to lose a big bet tonight and wipe out the profits from the last few days. Just enjoy the winning streak, and we’ll try to extend it tonight.
Odds below are at the time we made the pick. Be sure to check out our live odds page for updated odds on today’s games.
Normally we’re really hesitant to get in front of a freight train like the Panthers have been lately, but there’s several reasons to expect a poor performance from Florida tonight. Their winning streak ended two nights ago in Vancouver so there might not be that same motivation tonight. The Panthers were also getting a bit lucky during the streak, like Sunday when they beat the Oilers 2-1 despite being outshot 25-14. And this is Florida’s 5th game in 7 nights as well as the last of a 3-game tour through western Canada, which is hard on any team.
The Flames are more than capable of taking advantage tonight. They are playing good hockey right now, even if their recent record might not show it. They outshot San Jose 35-18 Monday but lost 5-4, and they’d won 2 of their last 3 before that. Calgary is also 13-9 at the SaddleDome, a big difference from their 6-11-2 record on the road. Finally, there should be some desperation in Calgary’s game tonight as this is their last home game before a 5-game road trip. The Flames are well rested (this is just their second game since Thursday) and we expect them to get the job done tonight.

The Leafs’ offence was hot for a while, but it’s starting to cool off. They have scored just once in their last 2 games, and now they’re without Van Reimsdyk for a while. This is also their first game back after a west coast trip, which is always a tough spot and we’re not sure we can expect Toronto’s best game tonight. We’re not too scared of the Columbus offence tonight either, which is averaging 2 goals a game over the past 4. It’s not often you can get Under 5.5 at nearly even odds these days in the NHL, and we feel there’s a strong chance for a low-scoring game tonight at the ACC.
