We went 2-0 yesterday.
Our Best Bet on the Ducks came through as Anaheim continued its recent roll with a 6-4 win in Calgary.
Hopefully you saw our other tip in time. We added the Stars +101 on Twitter and Facebook about 20 minutes before the game started, and Dallas beat Nashville in OT. Sorry if you didn’t see it in time – Monday was Family Day in Canada and we didn’t have time to post it before then.
Make sure you follow us on Twitter (@NHLTips_ca) or Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/NHLTips.ca) so that you don’t miss out if we post a pick there. We’ve done it 2-3 times this year.
Speaking of that Stars/Preds game, we used that game to make a video that shows how NHL live betting odds swing throughout a typical NHL game. You can check that video out here:
One other thing before we get to today’s tips: We cracked the 100 pick plateau on the season yesterday (actually 101) at +10.5 units for the year. That’s a number we’re very happy with, even though our picks had grown pretty cold over the past week. Hopefully you’ve managed your bankroll well and have profited this season along with us.
Good luck tonight!
Odds below are at the time we made the pick. Be sure to check out our live odds page for updated odds on today’s games.
That Dallas game was a great game to watch last night, but it had to take a lot of energy out of the Stars. Now they have to visit St. Louis, an old rival that always plays them tough. We like the way Dallas has been playing lately so we didn’t want to go against them here, but we see all the ingredients for a defensive battle tonight.
The Blues have gone Over just 1 time in their last 9 games, and just 7 times in their last 32 at home. It’s rare to see them playing a game with a total of 5.5 instead of 5, but that’s because Dallas is such an Over team. That extra half goal is a big one, allowing us to win if this is a 3-2 or 4-1 game. We’re not so sure they’ll even get to 5 goals in this one, though.

Sign us up for the Sharks at plus money right now, even on the road against last year’s Eastern Conference champs. San Jose is 18-8-2 away from The Tank, and they’re playing with “double revenge” here, having lost their last two games with the Lightning – including once earlier this season.
Tampa’s dropped 3 of 4, and the 1 win came when they tied the game in the final seconds, then won in OT. The Stamkos rumours might be a distraction in the Lightning dressing room, who knows. We just know who the hotter team is at the moment and we love getting them at a plus price!
