We went 2-0 yesterday with the Senators beating the Leafs and the Capitals edging the Bruins in OT.
Toronto gets accused of tanking, but their players are impressing us with their effort. They outshot the Capitals in Washington and they had 43 shots against the Senators Saturday, but lost both games. The Leafs just don’t have the finishers to pull out these types of wins, and we’ll look to continue fading them whenever possible, especially as short underdogs like last night.
There are 6 games today, 4 of which are afternoon starts. We leaned Over in Stars/Senators but didn’t want to pay heavy juice to go Over 5.5, so we might try to play that in live betting instead. We were also close to taking the Rangers and the Blackhawks, but chose to pass.
1 pick for tonight, and it’s the last game of the day: Blues at Wild.
Odds below are at the time we made the pick. Be sure to check out our live odds page for updated odds on today’s games.
Minnesota looks hot on paper, having won 4 in a row. But they barely beat the Leafs Thursday, and then needed to rally in the third period to beat the Sabres in a shootout yesterday. Now they come home for their 4th game in 6 nights against a Blues team that has been off since Tuesday and has 88 shots on goal in its last 2 games, both wins.
Minny’s won just 4 times in 12 tries when playing the second game of a back-to-back. St. Louis is 6-1 in its last 7 on the road. Getting the Blues in this spot at even odds is a bet we’ll make every time.
