1-1 day for us yesterday. We won our Best Bet on the Blues over the Coyotes, but the Oilers couldn’t come through at home against the Avalanche.
The Edmonton loss was pretty frustrating because we were ahead of the market on that one. We got the Oilers at -110 and they’d been bet up to -130 by game time. Just goes to show that line movement isn’t everything.
There’s an outdoor game today and we thought about getting involved, but there are just too many variables to consider. Gun to our head, we’d take the Wild at nearly even odds.
We also leaned to the Hurricanes today at home to Tampa, but don’t want to bet on Carolina with Faulk out of the lineup.
So we’ll go with just 1 game for today’s NHL tips: a Best Bet on a total as we try to improve to 17-4 on our last 21 NHL Over/Under picks.
Odds below are at the time we made the pick. Be sure to check out our live odds page for updated odds on today’s games.
We bet against the Flames Friday night largely because their goaltending is pretty bad right now. Vancouver scored twice in the first period but somehow couldn’t solve Hiller again. The Flames scored 5 of their own as the game sailed over the 5.5 total.
Calgary’s been playing a lot of those kinds of games lately, going Over in 5 of their last 6. One of those games was against the Ducks less than a week ago, when Anaheim won 6-4.
The Ducks are filling the net these days, scoring 3+ goals in 9 of their last 10. We expect Anaheim to score at least 4 today (especially considering the Ducks are 26-1 in their last 27 home games vs Calgary). Hopefully the Flames can pot a couple themselves and get us over this 5.5 total at plus money.
