A solid win on the Penguins +0.5 on Thursday makes that 6 wins in the last 7 on our Best Bets.
On to Saturday with a huge 14-game board.
We breakdown today’s Best Bet in the Preds/Jets tilt and have one other pick we like as well.
No write-ups on the 4 opinions as we’re crunched for time on a busy Saturday with our kids’ activities.
Odds below are at the time we made the pick.
Good luck today!

Fading the Predators has been good to our pockets over the last two weeks, cashing three consecutive +0.5 regulation time plays against them. Now we’re going to look to a different way to exploit Nashville’s recent scoring woes — backing the Under.
While the Preds continue to struggle on the offensive end of the ice, they’re certainly taking much better care of business in their own end. Nashville’s held four of its last five opponents to 26 shots or less, including the high-octane Maple Leafs and Sharks. Until the Predators’ offense breaks out again, this is the way Nashville has to play in order to be successful, and we don’t see that changing in an important game for Central Division positioning.
Winnipeg’s always a threat to explode offensively at home, but with the Jets having mustered just eight goals in their last four games, we’ll take our chances of them being contained here. The shot counts indicate Winnipeg isn’t generating much offense at the moment (under 30 shots in six straight and eight of their last 10). Like Nashville, however, the Jets are doing a pretty good job of keeping pucks out of their own net, holding six of their last eight opponents to three or less.
These teams played to a 5-3 score in this building just three of weeks ago, but that final score was deceiving. The score was tied 2-2 with six minutes left in regulation before a Blake Wheeler tie-breaking goal and two late Winnipeg empty netters (sandwiched around a Nashville goal with the teams playing 6-on-4) made it a 5-3 final. With each of these teams trending Under (Nashville 5-0 to the Under, Winnipeg 5-2 to the Under in its last seven), we look for a lower-scoring affair tonight.
