We were 3 minutes from a 2-1 evening yesterday, but the Canucks scored late in regulation time to tie the Blues and ruin our St. Louis in regulation time bet.
Vancouver went on to win the game in OT – the third time in as many games this year that the Canucks have won despite not holding a lead throughout regulation time.
In our other bets, the Devils dropped Anaheim to 0-3-1 with a 2-1 win over the Ducks, and the Coyotes fell apart in the second half of the game to lose 7-4 in Ottawa.
Just 2 NHL games today and we’re betting on one of them. Good luck tonight.

There’s always lots of energy in the building when the Leafs visit Winnipeg (or anywhere in western Canada for that matter), with plenty of fans on both sides. And these teams usually put on a show when they meet up. In fact, they’ve gone over the total the last 8 times they’ve played.
That’s not enough to put us on the Over here, but it helps. What also helps is that Winnipeg has allowed 4+ goals in each of its first 3 games (granted, last game was misleading since Boston scored 2 late goals, including an empty netter), and we also get the two super rookies (Matthews and Laine) going up against each other. Wouldn’t surprise us at all if either or both rise to the occasion with a couple of points.
This should be a competitive game. As long as both teams get to 2 goals tonight, we just need one of them to get to 4, with the potential for an empty netter to help us out. The line has moved a bit on this game since we bet it ourselves this morning at +102 odds, but -111 at Pinnacle still looks like good value to us.
