We went 1-1 last night, winning with the Islanders over the Penguins but losing the Bruins/Lightning Over 5.5.
There was some great drama in the NHL last night, especially Carolina scoring with less than a second left in regulation to tie Ottawa and then winning the game in OT. It reminded us of last week when the Senators scored with less than 1 second left in regulation to tie a game themselves (costing us an Under ticket). Guess it’s true, what goes around comes around.
6 games in the NHL tonight, including a couple of beauties. The Blackhawks/Blues is a great showdown of Central Division rivals, and Kings/Capitals should be a great game as well.
We’re going with 2 picks for tonight. Good luck with whatever you play.

The Blackhawks have won 3 of their last 4 and now get Hossa back, which should light a spark. They’ve also collected 5 out of a possible 6 points from the Blues this year. Chicago is considered a more legitimate Stanley Cup contender than St. Louis, and this type of game (crucial in the race for first in the Central Division) is the type of game Stanley Cup champions win.
This is just the Blues’ second game in their last 8 days. We saw recently what an extended layoff did to the Capitals, and we think there’s a strong chance St. Louis might come out of the gate a little slowly tonight as well. In a game that should be close, that might be enough to make the difference.

The Leafs are bringing their best every night, but they just don’t have very much offensive talent in the lineup right now. Both of those are great ingredients for an Under team, so it’s not a big surprise the Leafs have gone Under in 7 of their last 8 games.
This is a letdown spot for the Islanders, coming off a nice home win over the Penguins last night. That was a 2-1 game, and New York’s been playing some good defensive hockey itself lately, going Over just twice in its last 10. We don’t expect the Islanders to light up the scoreboard tonight, and we definitely don’t expect the Leafs to either.
