NHL Betting Tips For Wednesday, January 11

Jon and DerekIt was a huge 6-1 night for us yesterday, highlighted by the Best Bet winner on the Blues/Bruins Over 5. The teams combined for 5 goals before the second period was 4 minutes old, but then we had to sweat out 26 minutes of scoreless hockey before the 6th goal came to cash the ticket.

Boston ended up running away with a 5-3 victory, very surprising to us since it was a massive fatigue spot for the Bruins and the Blues had a west coast road trip on deck. Fortunately the Over was the right way to play that game.

We’re now on a 17-5 run since Saturday on plays posted to our website (18-6 including the 2 posted Sunday on Twitter), and 30-19 for +7.2 units in January. Feeling back in the groove after the Christmas break disrupted the league a bit.

There’s only 4 games in the NHL tonight, with the featured matchup coming in Washington as the Capitals host the Penguins. Nothing jumps out to us as “Best Bet” material this evening, but we’ve still got stats, trends and opinions on all 4 games below.

Odds below are at the time we made the pick. Be sure to check out our live odds page for updated odds on today’s games.
