NHL Betting Tips For Tuesday, November 14

Jon and DerekAfter a couple of quieter evenings, the National Hockey League schedule picks up again tonight with eight games on the betting board.

We haven’t bet anything since going 3-2 in Saturday’s action, winning a pair of First Period Unders and the Under 6 in Winnipeg/Arizona but dropping an Under bet in Chicago/Carolina and a shot at a +160 return on the Blues First Period puck line.

There have still been a few high-scoring games in the last few nights (Calgary 7-4 over St. Louis last night and New Jersey 7-5 over Chicago on Sunday), but scoring in general is slowing down dramatically.

3 of Sunday’s 4 games finished 2-1, and 13 of the 24 teams that played Saturday scored 2 goals or less. Over the last 7 days, the Under is 27-16.

No wonder, then, that most of our initial leans in tonight’s games were towards the Under. They’re not fun bets to cheer for, but we’re expecting that that’s where the value is going to be for the next little while until the oddsmakers adjust.

Our two personal bets for tonight are listed below, along with stats, trends, analysis and opinions for the rest of the NHL slate. Good luck on what you bet, and we’ll be back again Thursday.

Odds below are at the time we made the pick. Be sure to check out our live odds page for updated odds on today’s games.
