NHL Betting Tips For Tuesday, January 9

Jon and DerekIt’s a quieter Tuesday than usual in the National Hockey League with just 7 games on the board, thanks to the number of teams that are on bye this week.

Speaking of the bye week, we’ll have something up on our site in a day or two to review how teams fared in their first game back last year (hint: not very good) and whether we hockey bettors can look to exploit that again this season. We’ll post a link to it on Twitter or Facebook when we publish it, but just wanted to give you a heads up in advance.

A nice run of late continued last night with a winner on the Under 5.5 +105 in Columbus/Toronto, which came on the heels of a 3-1 night on Saturday. The year-to-date now stands at +14.2 units, and we’ll look to build on again tonight with 4 plays, 2 of which are at an underdog price.

One more note before we go: we’ve been getting a lot of DM’s on Twitter that we haven’t noticed in time to answer. If you’ve got a question or a thought on tonight’s games, we encourage you to post it in the discussion area below. If we don’t see it in time, maybe some of our readers can chime in with their opinions instead.

Good luck tonight, and we’ll be back Thursday!

Odds below are at the time we made the pick. Be sure to check out our live odds page for updated odds on today’s games.
