NHL Betting Tips For Tuesday, January 23

Jon and DerekIt’s a busy Tuesday night in the National Hockey League with 12 games on the board.

After all that time off for bye weeks and with the all-star break coming up this weekend, the schedule has gotten pretty jam-packed this week. Five teams are playing the second night of back-to-backs tonight, while several other squads are playing their third in four nights and fourth in six. The Rangers and Sharks are even playing their 7th game in 11 days tonight.

We’re coming off back-to-back 2-0 nights (picks for Sunday and Monday were posted on Facebook and Twitter, just in case you’re not following us on social media yet) to rebound from a 1-3 Saturday. Overall, it’s been a nice run in January, giving us a shot at cracking the +20 unit mark before the all-star break.

Four bets for us tonight, including three Team Total Unders. They aren’t the most fun bets to make, but we’re looking to exploit teams that are either tired, in scoring slumps or both. In most cases, it’s cheaper playing the Team Total Under than taking the favourite on the moneyline, and it’s not often that losing teams are scoring 3+ goals in the NHL lately.

Breakdowns and opinions for all the other games are below as well. Let’s have another good night!

Odds below are at the time we made the pick. Be sure to check out our live odds page for updated odds on today’s games.
