NHL Betting Tips For Thursday, October 26

Jon and DerekSome bad luck and some bad reads resulted in an 0-3 for our picks Tuesday night.

The bad luck came in Nashville, where the Predators – notoriously slow starters at home – scored on both their first-period powerplays to spoil the First Period Under 1.5. There were no more goals scored until the 3rd, when the Flames scored 2 quick ones to tie the game, then pull out a 3-2 shootout win.

The bad reads were the Over 5.5 in Minnesota, where the Canucks were playing the final game of a long road trip and were more than happy to grind out a 1-0 win, and the Under 5.5 in Philadelphia, where the Ducks scored 6 goals in their first game of an eastern road trip.

Our leans did go 4-3 on the night (including Vegas stunning the Blackhawks to incredibly improve to 7-1 on the year) so Tuesday was more of a case of picking the wrong ones to bet than being completely off.

Still 13-11 on the year for +2.3 units, so hopefully the cold spell ends tonight and we can get things going back in the right direction. And as always, we prefer you simply use the breakdowns and opinions as a resource for making your own picks, so hopefully you’ve had better luck than us over the past few days.

Alright, enough recapping a crappy Tuesday. There are 11 games on the NHL schedule tonight! Below are stats, trends and analysis for all the matchups, plus our personal bets and opinions for tonight.

Good luck!
