NHL Betting Tips For Thursday, December 22

Jon and DerekOur leans went 0-2 last night, including a shootout loss.

After a couple of sub-par days, we look to bounce back tonight with 10 games on the NHL board. The feature attraction is a matchup between the Penguins and Blue Jackets, who are a combined 18-0-2 in their last 20 games.

We’ve posted a lean on the Jackets there, but that’s simply because we give an opinion on every game. We based that lean on the Jackets’ dominant home record and the Penguins’ average record on the road, but we won’t be surprised at all if the defending Cup champions rise to the occasion and snap Columbus’s streak tonight. Our only bet in that game is that it will be a great one.

It’ll also be interesting to see how many of these NHL teams play as they wind down their pre-Christmas schedule. You have to think it’d be pretty easy for a lot of these players to be looking forward to a few days off with friends and family, especially with how gruelling the first-half schedule has been.

Below is our favourite bet of the day, followed by leans on the 9 other games. Good luck and enjoy the action!

Odds below are at the time we made the pick. Be sure to check out our live odds page for updated odds on today’s games.
