The Avalanche fell flat last night in what should have been a great spot against a tired opponent, losing 1-0 to the Jets.
Colorado outshot Winnipeg 37-21 but didn’t play with any sense of urgency or intensity until the third period. Maybe the Avs were a bit rusty after having 6 days off, but we were stunned by how bad they looked for the first half of the game.
Winnipeg goalie Michael Hutchinson came up huge in the third period and the Jets deserve credit for a gutsy performance playing their 4th game in 6 nights in the high altitude of Denver.
Our loss on Colorado was a great reminder of why bankroll management is so important. We loved the Avalanche in that situation and it was tempting to bet more than our usual amount on them. But in the end it’s just a 1-unit loss and we’re back to fight another day.
Not a lot of time for write ups today unfortunately. Good luck on whoever you bet.

We expect a better effort tonight from the Avs and the back-to-back doesn’t concern us given the extra rest leading up to last night’s game against the Jets. Love the line value here, taking the better team, which should be motivated to play hard for all three periods tonight, at even odds.
