NHL Betting Tips For Saturday, February 10

Jon and DerekIt’s a quieter than usual Saturday in the National Hockey League today, with no afternoon games on the docket and just 9 on the evening slate.

We split our two picks last night, hitting the Panthers first period moneyline but falling a goal short on the Over 5.5 between the Oilers and Ducks.

It was interesting to see the Rangers respond with a inspired effort last night, one day after team management publicly threw in the towel in an open letter to the fans hinting at a rebuild starting soon. New York outshot the Flames 20-8 in the first period, then rallied from a 3-2 third-period deficit to win 4-3 and remain within 3 points of the Islanders for the final wild card spot in the East.

Speaking of the Islanders, what a wild one they played last night in Brooklyn, coming back from 6-3 down in the third period to take the lead, allowing the late equalizer and then beating the Red Wings 7-6 in OT. There’s actually been a lot more scoring across the league over the past week, with Overs going 31-19 over the last 7 days.

There’s really not much that we love tonight, so we’re just going with 2 bets. Strongest leans on the evening would be on the Avalanche Team Total Under 2.5 and the Oilers/Sharks First Period Over 1.5, if you’re looking for more action.

Good luck!
