NHL Betting Tips For Friday, March 31

Jon and Derek3-3 overall yesterday, splitting the two Best Bet first period moneylines for a small profit on those.

It looked like it may be a much better night but the Sharks lost the first period in Edmonton despite scoring in the opening minutes, and the Islanders scored a late goal to sneak Over their 2.5 team total after Philly jumped out to a 5-0 first-period lead.

The Isles were the only “must-win” teams not to pick up points last night. The Hurricanes, Lightning, Leafs and Bruins all won as the tight playoff race in the East continues to remain compelling. The Senators could use another victory or two as well, having lost 7 of 9 and in danger of falling into a wild card spot, if not even further.

7 games in the NHL tonight and after so many important games last night, there really aren’t any games tonight that have a huge impact on who will make the playoffs (the Kings need a win to stay in contention, but they’re an extreme longshot to make the playoffs as it is.)

However, Sharks at Flames has seeding implications in the Pacific, and the Blues will want a win tonight in Colorado to strengthen their hold on third in the Central and avoid a wild card spot.

Below is our favourite bet of the day, plus stats, trends and opinions on the rest of the action.

Good luck!
