Hey guys, we went 1-2 last night on our 3 betting tips. Fortunately, the winner was on our Best Bet as the Ducks dumped the Sharks 3-2. We’ve now won 6 Best Bets in a row.
It was a weird last night in the NHL. 4 of the 12 games had 8+ goals scored in them, which you hardly ever see anymore. Not that we’re complaining. But it just goes to show you that things are pretty unpredictable when the players have been off for a week.
With that in mind, we’re going with just 1 betting tip tonight out of the 3 games on the board. Picking a winner in Montreal versus Buffalo is like picking which way you want to die. In the Wings/Lightning game, we lean Tampa Bay but didn’t want to lay -160 on a team playing its first game since the all-star break.
So we’ll go with the late game tonight and hope that last night’s high-scoring trend continues for one more day.

The last time we saw Carolina, they pumped 5 goals into the Blackhawks net. That was the second straight game the Hurricanes scored 5 goals, and they’ve gone under the total just once in their last 9 games. Carolina is playing with a lot of confidence, going 15-7-4 in their last 26 games, and that seems to have jump-started their offence.
The Flames have been playing high-scoring games all year at home, averaging nearly 3 goals a game both offensively and defensively. These teams combined for 7 goals when they met in Carolina about 10 days ago. With both teams possibly lacking a bit in the defensive intensity department in their first games back after the all-star break, we definitely like the chances of there being at least 5 goals scored tonight at the Saddledome.
