NHL Betting Tips For Tuesday, October 23

Jon and DerekThere are eight games tonight in the National Hockey League and we’re back today with our first breakdown of every game on the board this season.

In case you’re wondering where we’ve been so far this year, there’s a couple of reasons why we haven’t been too active yet. The first (and biggest) reason is that we heavily incorporate situational handicapping into our wagering, and there simply aren’t that many situations to take advantage of in the opening month of the season. Factor in the unpredictability of how teams will look in their first 10 games, and we like to take things slow in October. We tried our hand at a few plays last week and went 2-5, so we went back to the sidelines until we could get a better gauge on the league.

The other reason is that we’re still trying to figure out what we’re doing this season. When you’re reading this post, a survey should pop up that will explain a bit more about what we’re talking about. We’d greatly appreciate it if you’d take the time to read it and answer four quick questions, as the response we get will basically determine the future of the site. If it doesn’t pop-up then you can view it here.

Alright, let’s talk some NHL hockey! As we mentioned above, there are eight games on tonight’s board, and we’ve got breakdowns, analysis and opinions for each of them. We aren’t personally wagering on any of these opinions quite yet, but will continue to track how our opinions perform. Once we feel comfortable enough to start betting ourselves (not to mention recommending bets for others), we’ll start posting actual picks again. (If we have any favourite opinions for tonight, it’d be the Unders in Anaheim/Chicago and Pittsburgh/Edmonton.)

Good luck and thanks for reading!
