We went 1-1 yesterday, winning with the Lightning over the Leafs in regulation time but losing on the Kings to beat the Sharks.
Last night was a good night for favourites, with the only big upset of the night being Colorado winning in Nashville. Philadelphia narrowly avoided what could have been a damaging loss to the Jets, winning in the final minute of OT.
St. Louis goes for its FIFTH straight shutout tonight as it hosts the Avalanche. We might have been on the Under 5 had it not seemed so obvious. Five shutouts in a row would be ridiculous and if Colorado gets a goal early tonight, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the Blues let down a bit and perhaps allow another goal or two as well. The Avalanche is in desperation mode and taking +230 on Colorado tonight was something we thought long and hard about.
We’re going with 2 puck line picks tonight, one on an underdog at a short price and the other on a favourite with potential for a big return. Good luck with whatever you bet tonight.

We like Dallas in this game and with the difference in freshness between the two teams, we’ll step it up and shoot for the big +230 score.
The Stars have been off since Saturday, when they downed the Sharks 4-2 in San Jose. Dallas is 13-3 this season when playing with 2 days rest.
Nashville, meanwhile, is playing its 3rd game in 4 nights and its 4th game in 6 nights. The Predators lost at home to Colorado last night and haven’t fared well this season when playing the second night of back-to-backs, going 2-9 against the puck line.
The Preds have won just 8 of their last 31 trips to Dallas, losing the last 2 games in Big D by a combined score of 9-2. The Stars are motivated to keep pace with St. Louis atop the Central, and are looking to avenge a 5-3 loss in Nashville earlier this month. With how many goals Dallas is capable of scoring, and Nashville battling fatigue, we think the chances of a comfortable Stars win tonight are higher than these big odds suggest.

Florida is favoured as high as -290 at Sports Interaction, which allows us to take the underdog Leafs +1.5 at a pretty generous -130 price.
Toronto’s been overmatched most nights this season, but the Leafs continue to battle teams hard. We bet against them last night in Tampa and won 3-0, but Toronto outshot the Lightning 34-18 and showed no signs of quitting. This team doesn’t quit, which might explain how they’re 43-22 against the puck line as underdogs.
Florida isn’t the type of team that regularly blows teams out. The total on this game is 5, so asking the Panthers to win this game by 2 goals or more is no easy feat. There’s also the potential in this game for a Florida letdown, since the team is coming off 2 big wins over the Bruins and Lightning and now sees the league’s worst club come into town. We think the Leafs can keep things tight and even if they lose this game in regulation, hopefully we aren’t burned by a late empty-netter.
