NHL Betting Tips For Tuesday, December 27

Jon and DerekWe’re back after a 3-day break as the NHL shut down for Christmas! We hope you enjoyed a great holiday with friends and family, but it’s also great to start betting on some NHL action once again.

We closed out the pre-Christmas portion of the schedule with a 6-4 night Friday, losing our Best Bet but going 6-3 on leans. Overall, our posted picks and leans are a combined 74-64 (54%) in December for +7.7 units, following on the heels of a 88-65 (58%), +16.4 unit November. It’d be nice to hit the +30 unit mark going into the New Year, although we’ll need a very good week to do it.

All the teams playing tonight have been off for at least 3 days, with some not having seen action for 4 or even more. There’s a good article we posted on Twitter about how the Christmas break affects both players and teams, and you might want to give that a read before dipping your toe in the NHL betting waters tonight. We recommend being cautious following any long interruption to the season like that, although there are quite a few situations we like a lot tonight as well.

Below is our favourite bet of the day, followed by stats, trends and tips for the other 9 games on the board. Good luck!

Odds below are at the time we made the pick. Be sure to check out our live odds page for updated odds on today’s games.
