NHL Betting Tips For Thursday, November 29

Jon and DerekAt the beginning of the season, not many would have circled tonight’s Sabres/Lightning game as one of the must-watch matchups of the year.

But now that the Sabres rattled (pardon the pun) off 10 wins in a row, there’s a lot of interest to see how Buffalo fares tonight in Tampa against one of the NHL heavyweights. There’s been quite a bit of luck that has gone into the Sabres’ 10-game winning streak (seven of those wins came in OT or a shootout), but Buffalo’s also played really well in its own end – allowing 2 goals or less in seven of its last eight.

We’ll be really interested to see if the Sabres are able to slow down this explosive Lightning attack tonight, especially with Tampa Bay coming off a loss last time out at home against Anaheim. But we’ll be watching as spectators, not with an investment on the line. We do have action on two other games, however, on an eight-game card in which we couldn’t otherwise find very much value.

Good luck on whatever you play, and we’ll be back Saturday to break down the dozen matchups slated for December 1.

Odds below are at the time we made the pick. Be sure to check out our live odds page for updated odds on today’s games.
